How the site is funded
CostWise Calculator is free to use and supported by third-party display advertising, primarily via Google AdSense. Ads pay for hosting, tools, research time, and keeping every calculator free with no signup or paywall.
Ads do not influence content
Advertising is served by a third-party network. We do not select, review, or approve individual ads before they appear. More importantly, ad revenue has no bearing on:
- Which calculators we build or which topics we write about.
- The formulas, default values, or sources cited in any calculator.
- The recommendations, warnings, or "when not to use" guidance on any page.
- The way search-engine and social-media crawlers see the page.
If a calculator's result would push a reader toward or away from a category an advertiser belongs to, we still show that result honestly.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions — including corrections, updates, and new-calculator selection — are made by the CostWise Calculator team using the process described in our editorial policy. Advertisers have no input into this process, no preview of upcoming content, and no ability to request changes to a live page.
Affiliate policy
CostWise Calculator does not currently participate in any affiliate program. We do not earn commissions on any product, service, brand, or retailer mentioned or linked from this site. External links point to primary sources (federal agencies, industry references) or to general-information pages — never to affiliate tracking URLs.
If this ever changes, this page will be updated first and every affected calculator or article will disclose the affiliate relationship inline.
Sponsored content policy
We do not currently publish sponsored posts, paid guest posts, or paid links. If we ever accept sponsored content in the future, it will be clearly labeled as such at the top of the page and excluded from our editorial-review process.
